Welcome Back!
Trinity has now opened our services to the public again. Everyone is welcome to join us at 10:30 a.m. for Sunday Worship.
We recommend that you continue to follow the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing.
We understand that some are not ready to return, and that some will take protective measures that others will not. We ask that you show grace to everyone and help us keep the unity that Christ has demonstrated for us.

Update - May 22, 2020
On June 14, the state of Indiana is lifting many of the restrictions put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As of June 14, social distancing is encouraged, and masks are optional. Trinity will have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We will have hand sanitizer available, and encourage social distancing.
Trinity Church family,
Over the past few weeks your church board and staff have been meeting and discussing the best and safest practices to implement while inviting people back to the church. Considering the recommendation of the board, staff, and state guidelines, below are the recommendations for our church.
• June 14, 2020 will be the first Sunday to invite people to return to the morning (10:30 am) service only; Indiana State and CDC guidelines will be recommended
• Children Ministry will be suspended for the summer and we will reevaluate once we see what the school system proposes for their return.
• Family Moment will be implemented in the worship service targeting families so our children are included in the worship time.
• Youth Ministry will convene with CDC recommendations
• Adult Discipleship and Celebrate Recovery will meet via Zoom or other means, but will not gather at the church at this time.
• A survey will go out to all attendees asking if they plan to return on June 14th so that we can prepare for an estimated attendance.
• Overflow rooms will be made available and we will stream the service to the Fellowship Hall and use the TV in the Son Room.
Please continue to keep everyone in prayer as these decisions aim to include all populations f the church. We will have some who will be neutral to these recommendations while others may be more passionate. Please know that none of the decisions were made arbitrarily but rather discussed at length and bathed in prayer.

Update - May 15, 2020
Hello church, I trust all is well with each of you. I wanted to give you an update as to where we are with re-opening the church. Please know that every week your church staff and board have been working diligently behind the scenes doing our best to make decisions that have in mind the safely for our attendees as well as continuing the mission of the church. Here are some highlights:
· Sunday morning worship: at this time we are following the governor’s recommendations for each phase of reopening the state. These guidelines, as well as beginning the COVID cleaning of our building, will help us determine how we bring back large groups of people. At this time you can anticipate the earliest will be May 31st but we also have the June 14th date in sight.
· Social Distancing: We are discussing the best ways to address this issue within the building. We ask that you work with us as we being about recommendations.
· Livestream: Regardless of when we return we have determined that we will continue the Livestream Sunday services. We have received a $5,000 grant from the Center for Congregations to begin purchasing equipment necessary in order to provide this service.
· Children’s Ministry: It has been decided that we will follow the re-opening of our children’s ministry as the schools set the pace (possibly August). Until then children will be welcomed in the sanctuary to sit with their families. This will then allow Pastor Kelsey to implement a “family ministry moment’ whereby we will take a portion of the service to specifically address our families.
· Discipleship: At this point discipleship classes will continue online through Zoom. Kathy Burd is the contact for anyone desiring to be a part of a Sunday School class or Wednesday night education. We are also discussing implementation of small groups inside homes.
· Finances: Well done church! In April we needed $5,500 on the last Sunday to balance the month and you did it! The church board also approved the filing for the CARES Act and we were approved and received funds that assure the payment of church staff salaries for two months. Other avenues are being considered to help offset expenses.
o The next financial burden concerns the cleaning of the building as well as determining what the church will look like moving forward. I am working with carpet cleaning companies, Executive Image (our current cleaning service), and ministries within the church to assure that when we return we can confidently say that we have “done the best we can” to being about a safe and clean environment. Please understand that will take time to accomplish and upon the completion of these tasks we can then make a better recommendation as to when people can return.
As I’m sure you are aware that there are so many details underlying each of these points. We have discovered that with an eclectic mix of people we also have an eclectic mix of opinions. As your pastor, I commit that we will not operate the church in fear but we will also be considerate of those who feel that their health is at risk yet want to be with their church family. New days are head and we are fasting, praying, and obedient to what the Holy Spirit is telling us. Please do the same. Blessing my friends and if anyone has specific questions please feel free to email or call me and I would be happy to discuss them with you.

Dear Church Family:We want you to know that we are aware of and staying up to date on the developing news surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Indiana. An order was issued Friday (March 12, 2020) by Governor Holcomb prohibiting large gatherings of more than 250 people which included places of worship. After much interaction with the church board and staff we have decided that as of right now we WILL HAVE church on Sunday.
However, in line with recommendations, we are encouraging senior citizens, people with serious chronic medical conditions, and those with weakened immune systems to stay home. If you are experiencing any signs of fever or sickness, please stay home and get better. If you do join us for worship on Sunday, please refrain from shaking hands and/or giving hugs. There are many other ways to greet each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Kind words and a smile, elbow bump-), etc.
If you do choose to stay home, please remember your tithes and offerings. You may mail a check to the church, or drop it off at the church office, 9 am to noon, Monday through Friday. You may also choose to give online. See our website, www.tcnaz.net for instructions.
Please know that in addition to the regular scheduled cleaning of our facilities, we are doing the best we can to take proactive measures concerning areas of high level contact. Before Sunday, the door handles and flat surfaces will be disinfected in the areas where we will gather. We will do our best to have door greeters open the doors for each of you therefore limiting possible contamination. These extra measures will continue in the weeks ahead, and we will evaluate each week what our plan will be for the upcoming Sunday - and we will continue to communicate with you each week.
We know that some will choose to attend, and some will choose to stay home. We exhort you as brothers and sisters to continue to extend grace, love, and mercy to one another regardless of what each of us choose to do in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. Remember, we serve a mighty God who is able to deliver and protect.
We are available to talk with you and pray with you during this time of uncertainty. Please let us know how we can support and encourage you.
