After several years of working in the Church of the Nazarene at the Global Ministry Center, Nate and Hope accepted a call to ministry, not realizing it would lead them to pursue an assignment in missions! Before they had even met each other, both Nate and Hope had experience in cross-cultural ministry. Nate's parents served as Nazarene missionaries for twelve years in the Middle East and West Africa. Hope taught Conversational English at Korea Nazarene University and served on Mission Corps assignment in Kenya at Africa Nazarene University. They both got to participate in a Work & Witness trip to Ecuador in 2016.
We are the Owens Family, Nate, Hope, Forest and Peter. Nate is an avid board game player and man of many words. Hope enjoys crafts and baking in her free time. Forest is a creative and energetic boy who loves science. Peter is a sweet, generous and playful boy with a twinkle in his eye.
The family is excited and honored to embark on this next step of faith as missionaries with the Church of the Nazarene, serving in a tandem roll as Regional Communications Coordinator (RCC) for the Asia-Pacific Region. As a part of their roll of RCC they will help the Regional Director to communicate across the region and make sure everyone in on the same page when it comes to ministry goals and strategies. They will also help keep the stories from around the Asia-Pacific Region fresh and accessible to the rest of the regions in the Church of the Nazarene. They will live in Manila, Philippines and work with the communications team there to continue to proclaim the Good News and make Christlike disciples in the nations.
Your involvement in prayer and giving will impact the people of Asia-Pacific, which is 40% of the world’s population! Your gifts will be extended far beyond your imagination!
